Actually, we will be shocked if you did not watch the match after the tea-break.
It was a total England’s match. Target was not that much. Only 272 was the target. And till the Tea Break, England was 100 for no loss. Where we have seen more than 176 runs came from the tail-enders bat, here 172 were looking like matter of time where both of the openers were looking perfectly set on the ground.
But, it was the scenario before Tea break. Cook (39) and Duckett (56) was at their best. But, in the very first ball after Tea Break, Mehedi starts the mission wicket-fall from the Bangladesh’s end. In the very next over Root (1) fall in to Shakib’s trap in the very first ball. In the next over of Mehedi, Cook was almost out in LBW for 44. But, DRS system saved him this time. Review comes in Cooks’ favor, where ball was missing the stamp for an mm.
But, Mehedi striked again in the 32nd over, where he trapped Ballance (5) and Moeen Ali (0) in the same over to put Bangladesh again in the top. Though, Moeen Ali was not satisfied with the decision of LBW and asked for review, but the decision remains the same as all signs were showing red. In the next over of Shuvagata Hom, Bangladesh again appealed for a LBW to out the danger man Cook, but umpire stuck it down. Musfiq thought to take a review, but that was also stuck down too, as ball was clearly missing the stamps. But, Bangladesh does not had to wait for long to set back the danger man as in the next over Mehedi put a break in to Cooks’ innings for 59 runs. Mominul took his catch at the silly point to show him the way of dressing room.
Mehedi made his another Fifer in the 38th over where he took the wicket of JM Bairstow (3) who really did make a change in the scoreboard of England on their first innings. But, this time Mehedi says no. Stokes were almost out in the 42nd over, but again saved by the DRS system. Just to much wrong decisions has been passed from the umpires end during the whole test series. Though, Mehedi could not do that, but Shakib made it in the next over by taking Stokes (25) wicket with a grand salute celebration, literally which gone viral over the social media.
Shakib gets past Stokes outside edge with a straight delivery into off stump. Stokes goes down on his knees and Shakib brings out the salute celebration! Stokes just seemed to play down the wrong line. Straighter deliveries on this surface, offering so much, are dangerous.
All in a sudden England moved from 100/0 to 161/9. Now the winning line was just a wicket away from Bangladesh and just a matter of time.
England’s innings got a full stop in 45.3 over, when Mehedi took the last wicket of England by trapping Finn (0) for a LBW in Duck. Tail-enders could not do it this time and Bangladesh got their first Test victory against England with a huge margin of 108 runs. Surely, it is going to be a memorable day for everyone, where Bangladesh was getting the glimpse of the victory but could not hold one, there they got a large victory against one of the 6 test giants.
